It's a strange irony, but Donatello's just glad the people are finally coaxed from their hiding place. At the moment it's too early to say what's more difficult, directly addressing the problem or protecting those suffering in its wake. Both have their uncertainties, but he's beginning to see the slow burn in taking this route, unknowing as to when this seeming calm will be disrupted.

The number of people that emerge are a lot more than Donatello had anticipated. Speed definitely is of the essence and his thoughts are right alongside Li's in that realization.

"Probably a good idea," he agrees as Li makes her suggestion. "You want front or back?" At least they wouldn't be expected to lead the way. The only real problem was hoping that the way was clear, but thankfully any threats would be restricted to being on foot, and the spores were limited to what they could control.
