Donatello runs through calculations, the number of approaching infected, estimated speed, the things they've armed themselves with. It's the leaf blowers that are the most concern, that's a new one and it's startling as he realizes they're getting smarter with their intent to spread the spores. The numbers aren't favorable for one turtle but breaking things down helps him not to lose his nerve as he prepares himself for contact.
Only something else makes contact with them first. Li's form is practically a blur but it doesn't take long for him to identify her. Her head-on assault effectively draws the attention of those who had been on the move, simultaneously forcing them back as she brandishes her makeshift torch at them.
Donnie finally throws himself towards the fight, knocking one of the infected forwards with his staff while they're distracted. He raises it in time to catch the blade of a butcher's knife, giving his weapon a reverse spin to knock it away before twisting his staff upwards to strike the knife's wielder in the chin. There's Li, a bit of a daunting sight herself as she comes towards him at full speed. Donnie's eyes flick past her as he sees the man with the leaf blower hold up a glob of a spore-ridden mass out in front of the thing's nozzle, sending a thick cloud outwards.
"Oh no you don't..!" he says, thrusting a hand outwards. Lines of glowing purple trace shapes at either side of him, giant propellers in industrial-sized frames, a pair of huge fans that immediately power on. One might say he's overdoing it just a bit, but there's never any such thing as overkill his book, and at least by then Li's out of its radius as gusts buffet against the infected, blowing the spores back, just as something explodes.
"...okay, so the fiery tornado was not a part of my plan."
