Mikumo has a tendency to ruffle people by being blunt, so she's not exactly surprised that it takes a few moments for things to circle back to addressing it. Honestly, this is probably on the lighter side of how bad she can be - at least there's nothing serious going on at the moment, or it would be about ten times worse.
Taking another sip of her drink, this one a little less drawn-out since she doesn't need to figure out the taste anymore, she glances over to Codi when she starts talking again. While she tends to take people more on their actions than their words, she can at least accept some degree of apology. Even if it seems a touch theatrical.
That said, a little deception can make things interesting sometimes, so for the moment, she takes the offered hand despite the innocent look seeming like a little much. Mikumo's handshake is oddly neutral, besides being quite confident.
"Mikumo Guynemer," she returns, not objecting to an introduction. The more people she at least knows here, the more idea she'll have of the kinds of people she's working with once things get serious. "Given how many different places we seem to be coming from - or times or universes, at the least - not knowing what to expect and working with what we have seems like the natural reaction. Even people who have travelled planets before seem at least a little thrown."
Judging by conversations she's had so far and network discussions she's spotted, at least. And her own experience, but she'll only pair herself to that if it comes up directly.
