She chuckles.

"I'm translating in my head for this, to someone who would not know what is common where I am from. But there is an...energy, generated by all life. We call it the Force. It's in all of us, surrounds us - but a Jedi has the unique ability to tap into it, though it takes some time to master the training and techniques required. So you must be born with it, but it is also a path that must be chosen."

There is a slight pause.

"They say it is a hard life, to train and to become a Jedi - but I am a child of the desert. There are harder things."
